Abstract

The pavement condition of Kapasa Raya Road shows various types and forms of damage on the pavement surface, where some of the damages are located on the road shoulder, in the middle of the pavement, and also at the concrete slab joints. This road section consists of two types of pavement, namely flexible pavement and rigid pavement. The flexible pavement is located at STA 0+400 to STA 0+600, while the rigid pavement is located at STA 0+600 to STA 4+400. This study aims to analyze the traffic volume expressed as the ADT, identify the types and forms of pavement damage on Kapasa Raya Road, and determine appropriate mitogation methods to address the pavement surface damage based on the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method. The result of this study indicate that the overall average PCI value is 75,65, which indicates that the pavement condition is in the very good category. However, there is one road segment that falls into the poor condition with a PCI value of 33. The ADT analysis shows that traffic volume is dominated by light vehicles and motorcycles. The dominant types of damage include potholes, linear cracking, and polished aggregate. Based on the PCI analysis and traffic conditions, the appropriate treatment methods are major rehabilitation and routine maintenance.
