This study aims to examine the effect of work discipline and work motivation on the performance of market supervisors at the Office of Cooperatives, SMEs, Industry, and Trade of Puncak Jaya Regency. A quantitative research approach with a survey design was employed. The research population consisted of all market supervisors in Puncak Jaya Regency, with a total sampling technique applied to 35 respondents. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results indicate that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on the performance of market supervisors. Similarly, work motivation is found to have a positive and significant influence on performance. Simultaneously, work discipline and work motivation significantly contribute to improving the performance of market supervisors. These findings suggest that strengthening disciplinary practices and enhancing work motivation are crucial factors in improving the performance of public sector employees, particularly in regions facing geographical and managerial constraints. This study provides empirical evidence for the development of public sector human resource management and offers practical implications for policymakers in formulating strategies to improve the effectiveness of market supervision at the local government level.
