Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh program kompetensi dan pelatihan karyawan terhadap peningkatan keselamatan kerja di PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain explanatory research. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 150 karyawan operasional yang dipilih melalui teknik stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner skala Likert dan dianalisis dengan uji validitas, reliabilitas, regresi linear berganda, serta uji t, uji F, dan koefisien determinasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kompetensi, kesadaran, dan keselamatan kerja. Kompetensi karyawan juga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kesadaran dan keselamatan kerja. Selain itu, pelatihan memberikan pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap keselamatan kerja melalui peningkatan kompetensi, sementara kesadaran memediasi hubungan kompetensi dan keselamatan kerja. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kombinasi pelatihan yang berkualitas dan kompetensi yang tinggi berperan penting dalam membentuk budaya keselamatan kerja yang kuat, menurunkan potensi kecelakaan, serta meningkatkan kinerja operasional perusahaan pertambangan.
