Analysis of the Unsignalized Intersection on the Makassar-Maros Main Road - Kariango Main Road

Each intersection includes the continuous movement of traffic and intersecting traffic on one or more of the intersection sections. This is the main reason for conflicts and the need to control traffic movements at intersections. This study aims to determine traffic conditions at intersections and to overcome the degree of saturation and delays at these intersections. The result of the capacity calculation based on PKJI 2014 is C 2730 skr / hour. The determination of the intersection capacity value includes base capacity (Co) with a value of 3200 skr / h, short width correction factor (FLP) with a value of 0.98, minor road median correction factor with a value of 1, city size correction factor of 1.00, side obstacle factor with a value of 0.93, left turn correction factor with a value of 1.06, right turn correction factor with a value of 0.96, and minor current road correction factor with a value of 0.92 and queue chance value ranging from PA = 22.23% - 72.53%. From the analysis of the intersection, it can be concluded that the obstacles at the unsignaled intersection between Jl. Poros Makassar-Maros and Jl. Poros Kariango are caused by the absence of traffic signs that regulate every vehicle that passes through the intersection. The saturation degree value at this unsignaled intersection is 0.74 and the delay value of the intersection is 12.77 sec/skr.
