Road Performance Analysis of Sabutung Street

Fish Auction Place (TPI) activities cause traffic problems on the Jalan Sabutung segment in front of Paotere Fish Port. The Sabutung 2/2TT road type, which is only 6 m wide, channels traffic flow every day in conflict conditions with side friction caused by fish auction activities. The aim of this research is to determine the value of the degree of saturation in peak traffic flow conditions which indicates the performance of the Jalan Sabutung segment in front of Paotere Fish Port. Also to get the space speed that can be achieved by light vehicles at peak flow times. The research refers to the Indonesian Highway Capacity Guidelines, 2014 concerning Urban Road Capacity. The research results showed that the value of the degree of saturation at peak total traffic flow was 0.40. High side friction class. The composition of vehicle types is dominated by motor cycle. Even though the number of vehicles is large during peak traffic flow, the congestion that occurs can quickly be resolved. The average speed of light vehicles from the PKJI 2014 graphic reading VT is 28.9 km/hour. The average speed of light vehicles calculated from travel time survey data during peak traffic flow was obtained 21.71 km/hour. The Paotere Makassar Fish Auction Place (TPI) needs additional parking space and parking officers will be alerted to maintain vehicle order during the auction operation.
