Abstract

Landslides are one of the most common geological hazards occurring in areas with steep topography and high rainfall, such as Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. This study aims to identify the causes of the landslide, determine the soil characteristics, and design a slope stabilization solution using foam mortar reinforcement. The research methodology includes subsurface soil investigation through drilling and Standard Penetration Test (SPT), followed by numerical analysis using the Finite Element Method (FEM) with the aid of Plaxis software. The analysis results indicate that the application of foam mortar as a slope reinforcement material can improve slope stability, producing a Safety Factor (SF) of 1.568 under traffic load conditions and 1.145 under seismic loading conditions. These values meet the safety requirements specified in the Indonesian standard SNI 8460:2017. Therefore, the use of foam mortar can be considered an effective alternative solution for enhancing slope stability and reducing landslide risk along the road section.
