Analisis Kesenjangan Keterampilan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) Pada Generasi Sebelum Era Digital di Politeknik Pelayaran Barombong

Penelitian ini menganalisis kesenjangan keterampilan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) pada generasi sebelum era digital di Politeknik Pelayaran Barombong. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima informan berusia 45–58 tahun yang sedang atau pernah menempuh pendidikan di institusi tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan keterampilan TIK tidak terletak pada penggunaan dasar seperti pengolah kata atau aplikasi komunikasi, tetapi pada kemampuan lanjutan seperti manajemen e-learning, analisis data sensor teknologi maritim, penggunaan sistem navigasi modern, dan troubleshooting mandiri. Faktor penyebab meliputi keterbatasan paparan teknologi pada masa muda, minimnya pelatihan terstruktur, faktor psikologis berupa kecemasan teknologi, serta beban kerja yang tinggi. Dampaknya mencakup kesulitan adaptasi terhadap perubahan teknologi, penurunan produktivitas, dan hambatan dalam penguasaan kompetensi maritim berbasis digital. Penelitian merekomendasikan program pelatihan TIK berkelanjutan yang kontekstual dengan kebutuhan industri pelayaran untuk mengurangi kesenjangan tersebut dan meningkatkan daya saing lulusan di era digital.
